We are happy to announce the release of the next beta version (2.2) of our SimCat similarity server and Protege plug-in! The new release contains several bug fixes and a context logger. The next release will focus on performance issues.

We are happy to announce the release of the next beta version (2.1) of our SimCat similarity server and Protege plug-in! The new release contains some major improvements such as an extended context model with several kinds of contexts, caching, lazy unfolding and a more intuitive user guidance for the plug-in.

The SimCat Similarity Server and the Protégé Plug-in have reached beta state. We want to give you the basic facts you need for performing similarity measurement using SimCat software.
SimCat Server
- Download balou.jar
- run the jar
Protégé Plug-in
- Download and install the Protégé Editor including the Protégé OWL-Plugin
- Download the plug-in
- Unpack the archive into the plugin folder in your Protégé directory
- Start Protégé and activate the SimCatTab ( Project-> Configure)
- Set the reasoner port to 8085 (OWL Preferences -> General)
- Load an OWL-Ontology of choice
- Set search concept and context and submit similarity request
